How to Transfer a Domain

In order to transfer a domain name from one registrar over to another, first you have to set things up on the registrar where the domain is currently hosted in the Domain Manager. In this case GoDaddy.

Make sure the administrative contact information is correct. If you want to transfer this domain right away and the admin info is at an active email address, then do not make any changes to it or you will have to wait 60 days before you can transfer that domain.

In the above video, I will show you the domain transfer process of How to Transfer a Domain From GoDaddy to Bluehost, how to unlock the domain, have Godaddy send you the authorization code by email, go in to your BH Control Panel and choose Transfer Domain, and then walk you through the steps to complete the transfer.

PLUS… how to instantly transfer a domain from GoDaddy to your new hosting account with Bluehost.

  1. Hey … I’ve recently decided to transfer my domain to . I was searching for advices about the transfer and what are the points to be followed while transferring. This article is really useful for me.

I sure hope you can help me… I’ve been a corporate-based writer for 25 years. Recently, I embarked on a 6-month trip around the world as part of a plan to transition from commercial to creative work. To realize this objective, I secured a blogging platform with GoDaddy & a hosting venue with BlueHost (which should kick in soon–there was a 45-day delay between subscribing and going live).
Here is both my request and associated problems:
    1. I am tech challenged. In fact my sister set everything up and then had a nervous breakdown and backed out the project (she was supposed to manage the tech end & I was to manage the writing/posting).
    2. the Search Engine Visibility app that I purchased in GoDaddy shows thousands of errors relating to my ignorance of the basics (sister was supposed to be managing this).
    3. I tried to ‘clean-up’ and met with dozens of URL pages that do not relate to anything I have on my blog.
    4. I need HELP and am willing to pay for someone to instruct me on cleaning up what I have; transferring all to BlueHost; and adopting a best practices approach to writing and posting going forward.
    5. I already have secured interest in moving blog fodder into a book… I just need help in cleaning up and maintaining the hosting, web, and blog structures to make that book a reality.
    6. I would like to know if you can help me directly, or suggest someone else who can. I’m not loaded…I borrowed against my house to take this trip. But, I’m not commerce-challenged and know I have to pay for this support.

Please help me…. I’m currently in the Czech Republic and phone is not an option. My email is either or
